NWF DRAFT 2023 FORMAT SCRAPPED?
As of the last few weeks, it seemed the 2023 NWF Draft taking place this Summer was finalized in format. However that seems to not be the case now.
The Jewish Producer & Bruce Prichard bickered back & fourth for the last month on trying to agree on the perfect format for this years Draft.
The Format decided upon was to have Brand Warfare pitting RAW Superstars against SmackDown Superstars with the winners of each match gaining a Draft Pick for their respective brand.
However plans are rumored to have changed, as The Pennsylvanian Producer has been pushing for the Draft to be done in a elaborate way on the NWFUniverse Website, done with pretty graphics, with the intention of driving viewership to the site.
While It's still up in the air on which format will decide the NWF Roster's fate. One thing is for certain & that is Free Agents will be up for grabs in the 2023 Draft. Per a report "Unknown prospects outside of the company, in the performance center & "Stars the company wants to create from scratch" will all be Draft-able.
There are major names currently sitting in NWF Free Agency such as Big E, Cesaro, The Miz & Former World Champion Kofi Kingston. While some of these names are doing projects for NWF through NWF Studios, it will be interesting to see who gets picked up to a brand. Although it was said The Crane Family wants a new feeling, they feel the it's the evolution of New Blood Rising, thinking of it as 2.0. Creating endless Opportunity for ,Current, Past & Future NWF Talent.
JEFF HARDY HAS HEAT WITH MANAGEMENT OVER A COMMENT HE MADE ON SMACKDOWN!?
Jeff Hardy & AJ Styles met in a contract signing this past week at SmackDown 15, however there was a line that is now edited out of the YouTube Version in which Jeff referred to himself as "getting older". Which rubbed many people the wrong way in higher up positions.
This is said to be the same reason Luke Harper lost at WrestleMania 14 to the Undertaker, as he referred to Taker in a promo before Mania as "old"
If you remember Luke Harper was pulled from television for almost 6 months after WrestleMania 14.
The word going around is NWF is officially banning any use of the word "old" when it comes to its Superstars. Everyone is there career primes, except for those we chose to age was what was said backstage.
